Philadelphia Eagles Star Is Best Man At Teammate’s Wedding

This story honestly made me tear up. I don’t know what it is, but the Eagles make me emotional, and especially when a one of the Eagles is the best man at his teammate’s wedding. There has been alot of best friends on the Eagles over the years. Brandon Brooks and Lane Johnson, Carson Wentz and Zach Ertz, obviously AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts. Their friendship is the reason AJ Brown came to the Eagles and why their wide receiver quarterback connection was one of the best in the NFL this past season.

It’s pretty common for teammates to become close friends. You not only spend alot of time together, but you’re training and practicing for the same goal. Plus I’m sure the fact that there is only a small amount of people who do what they do helps with the bond. Being a starter in the NFL means there is literally only 31 other people who can do and know your job. It’s a powerful bond. Look at Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Their friendship has their the Chiefs (I know, it’s tough) to be one of the most successful teams and duos in NFL history. And how can we forget Tom Brady and Gronk? What their friendship did for the success of the Patriots. There’s no doubt if they weren’t as close as they are that they would have won that many championships.

The beauty of this Philadelphia Eagle teammate, friendship, and now best man is that they didn’t even meet until 2021 when they both landed on the Eagles.

The wedding happened in Greenville, SC in March and Jordan was by Landon’s side when he married his longtime girlfriend. How special the are by each other on the o-line for the Eagles games, and for their wedding. Now they just need to be by each other’s side for that Super Bowl Ring Ceremony.

    “It’s quality, mate, time over quantity,” Mailata said. “It means a lot, man. It’s tough because for me, my family’s back home in Australia. They’re about 20+ hours away and for me it was all just about finding people that I can connect with here and really build my circle of trust. And Landon back in 2021, like you said we haven’t known each other for that long, but I feel like the man knows me like the back of his hand and I know him like the back of mine. It’s just every time we get together, it’s that quality time over quantity.”
