Post Malone Sings With Morgan Wallen At CMA Awards

The biggest night in country music happened last night on ABC. The 57th CMA Awards were held in Nashville, Tennessee to celebrate the industry's biggest names. If you missed any great moments, 92.5 XTU's got you covered. Let's take a look at what went down last night.

Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning

The hosting duo returned to Nashville and gave country fans a lot of laughs. Our expectations were high from last year's show, and the pair knocked it out of the park. In an interview with 92.5 XTU, Luke Bryan said there's "no winging it here." He continued, "You have to have a game plan, an offensive strategy." And that they did. The country star and former athlete did not hold back when it came to poking fun at each other.

In addition to the nominees and performers, the CMA Awards include several other country music stars and celebrities. In a previous article, we anticipated that there would be a lot of cowboy hats. It's Nashville! Of course, everyone is in a cowboy hat!

The 57th CMA Awards will surely be a special night for country music fans worldwide. If there's one thing that's true about country music, it's that the artists have incredible vocals and range. Every live performance is a sight to see.  There were so many talented artists are nominated and scheduled to perform. It was sure to be a night that will be remembered for years to come.

One performance that surprised many was the pop/rapper Post Malone on the country music stage. He sang a Joe Diffie tribute with Morgan Wallen and HARDY. Take a look at Post Malone entering the country music world for the first time at the 57th CMA Awards.

Seeing Post Malone’s name might surprise you, but the pop star has been wanting to dip his toes in country music for some time now. He joined the stage with Morgan Wallen and Hardy to perform a tribute to Joe Diffie. 

Luke Bryan's Greatest Hits

Not only did Luke Bryan co-host the award show, he also performed a medley of his hits including “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day,” “One Margarita,” “That’s My Kind Of Night,” “Play It Again” and “Country Girl (Shake It For Me).” This medley definitely got the crowd on their feet!

Jelly Roll “Need A Favor”

Jelly Roll kicked off the show with his newest hit, “Need A Favor.” He invited an iconic singer on stage with him as well, the one and only Wynonna Judd, to sing with him.

Luke Combs "Where The Wild Things Are"

Luke Combs singing his new single “Where the Wild Things Are.” The two-time Entertainer of the Year was nominated for Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year again.

Morgan Wallen has had one of his best years yet in country music. Not only did he perform with Post Malone and Hardy, but Wallen also had a solo performance featuring Eric Church. 

A Tribute To Jimmy Buffet with Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, And Mac McAnally

Kenny ChesneyAlan JacksonMac McAnally and the Zac Brown Band took the stage together for a tribute to the late Jimmy Buffett. It was a beautiful, emotional performance for all to watch. 

Lainey Wilson “Wildflowers & Wild Horses”

Lainey Wilson was the most decorated gust at the CMA Awards. She is lead with nine nominations for the night. She sang one of her latest songs, “Wildflowers & Wild Horses.” Lainey also took home Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year. 

Tanya Tucker & Little Big Town "Delta Dawn"

The “Delta Dawn” singer came back to Nashville to the 57th CMA Awards. Little Big Town will be joined her on stage to perform one of her greatest hits. 

Chris Stapleton "White Horse"

Chris Stapleton took the stage to perform his new single “White Horse.” Stapleton took home Male Vocalist of the Year. 

Carly Pearce and Chris Stapleton "We Don't Fight Anymore"

Carly Pearce joined Chris Stapleton on the stage to perform their song, “We Don’t Fight Anymore.” Pearce was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year.

Kelsea Ballerini “Leave Me Again”

Kelsea Ballerini arrived to the CMA Awards in a gorgeous pink dress with her boyfriend and actor, Chase Stokes. Kelsea performed her emotional song, "Leave Me Again."

Ashley McBryde "Light On In The Kitchen"

Ashley McBryde has had an incredible year, even performing with the icon, Wynonna Judd at the ACM Awards. McBryde’s music video for “Bonfire at Tina’s” was nominated for Video of the Year. McBryde performed her song, “Light On In The Kitchen.”

Cody Johnson “The Painter"

Male Vocalist of the Year nominee, Cody Johnson will perform his ballad “The Painter,” from his upcoming album Leather. The performance was absolutely breathtaking. 

The War & Treaty "That's How Love Is Made"

The War & Treaty were nominated against pairs like Brothers Osborne, Dan+Shay, and Brooks & Dunn for Vocal Duo of the Year. This is the duo’s first time to ever be nominated for a CMA Award. The pair sang “That’s How Love Is Made.”

Dan + Shay "Save Me The Trouble"

Dan + Shay were nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year. The last time they won this category was in 2020. The duo performed their hit single, “Save Me The Trouble.”

Old Dominion & Megan Moroney “Can’t Break Up Now"

Old Dominion and Megan Moroney shared the stage to perform their new single, “Can’t Break Up Now.” This will be Moroney’s first performance at the CMA Awards. She was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Song.

Jordan Davis “Next Thing You Know"

Jordan Davis was nominated for Single of the Year for “Next Thing You Know.” His single, “Buy Dirt” was nominated in the same category last year, but lost out to Cody Johnson’s “Til You Can’t.”

K. Michelle and Jelly Roll "Love Can Build A Bridge"

Jelly Roll returned to the stage and perform with K. Michelle. The pair sang “Love Can Build A Bridge” from The Judds.
