It was awesome to welcome back Philadelphia legend Zach Ertz to the city in which he made such an impact. Very awesome to see Zach and Julie Ertz throwing out the first pitch at the Phillies game on May 5th. Even though Zach and Julie Ertz don’t live in Philly anymore, they still are very connected to the city.

Zach and Julie Ertz came back to Philly to open their new incredible project in Hunting Park called House of Hope. House is Hope is a “home” of endless possibilities where kids can come to eat, be tutored, mentored, play sports, and have wifi access. Their family foundation – The Ertz Foundation – still does so much for the Philadelphia area.

It’s a project that’s been three years in the making. Zach and Julie wanted a place for kids to go to feel safe and welcome.

“We’re excited about this place, it’s gonna be a place that gives hope and joy. People can come, and have peace to learn,” said Zach Ertz.

Since Zach and Julie were in Philly, the Phillies decided to make a smart move and ask them to throw out the first pitch at the Phillies game. And they brought they adorable new baby Madden.
