Kids waking up later for school
California lawmakers voted to bar middle and high schools from starting before 8:30 AM. Nearly 80% of all middle and high schools started earlier than 8:30 in 2012 and now that's about to change.
While supporters of the bill say there have been studies that show later start times help make kids healthier by giving them the sleep they need and increases the amount of kids who graduate, not everyone agree. Andie talked about this very topic this morning.
