This Pennsylvania Farm House is Haunted with Friendly Ghosts
You’ve heard of haunted houses, but what about actual haunted places in Pennsylvania? As it turns out, Pennsylvania has a “haunted” farm house you can rent via Airbnb. Since the spooky season is approaching, you might want to book this spot early, because as I’m looking at the cottage’s schedule, it’s already starting to book up. I can only guess that fall is the most popular time to book this space, too.
You’ll Find Friendly Ghosts at This Pennsylvania Farm House
Timeout.com has a new feature out about the most haunted Airbnbs in America. “We’ve scoured Airbnb’s most eclectic and eerie listings to find the most haunted Airbnbs in America, from creepy castles to spooky spare bedrooms and mysterious mansions,” they explain. “These rental haunted houses feature charming creaking floorboards, whimsical wainscoting, and vintage vibes along with chills, thrills, and frights from spirited ghost hosts that are straight out of the best Halloween movies of all time.” I’m not one for truly haunted places, but I know a lot of people love ghost hunting, so if that’s you, read on.
Before we get to our state, let’s look at the No. 1 most haunted Airbnb in the country. According to Timeout.com, it’s The Haunted Brothel in Victor, Colorado. As the story goes, following a fire in 1899, which destroyed this brothel, casino and saloon, “the space was rebuilt and meticulously restored, bringing spirited supernatural stories,” according to Timeout.com. So, who’s the ghost who occupies this spot? It’s not a bar regular. It’s a “former miner who died in a gunfight.” They also state that some of the taxidermy and art that decorates the place is really creepy, which adds a nice, spooky touch. They say this spot is affordable if you stay with a large group. I honestly wouldn’t want to stay at any of these places alone, so I say, the more, the merrier.
So, which Pennsylvania farm house is haunted with friendly ghosts and one of the most haunted Airbnb spots in America? It’s the “Historic Civil War Farm House” in Gettysburg. “Yes, the house is haunted, but they are all friendly,” the location’s Airbnb page states. “I have been here for 36 years and have lots of interesting stories that I’d be happy to share with you if you are interested.” So, this place is haunted, but at least they’re friendly. One reviewer commented that “Stephanie was the perfect host” and that “the home is absolutely incredible.”
