WATCH: Saquon Barkley Surprises Kids At Philadelphia Applebee’s
Saquon Barkley being a Philadelphia Eagle still doesn’t seem real. Not only did he have one of the greatest seasons for a running back in NFL history, he helped the Eagles win a second Super Bowl, and he also happens to be an incredible human.
Saquon Barkley Is An Eagle
It’s so wild how he was born in Brooklyn, then moved to the Lehigh Valley. Went to Whitehall High School, then Penn State, then back to New York to play for the Giants and then ended up with the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s like he was meant to stay in New York and Pennsylvania. And how lucky are we he chose the Eagles. You can tell that last season he was playing with a fresh new perspective and turned into breaking records.
Saquon Barkley Is An Incredible Dad
He chose to go to the Daddy-Daugther dance rather than going to receive his Maxwell Football Club award. “We had a daddy-daughter dance the same day as the Super Bowl, but it got canceled,” Barkley said when he was on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,”
“So, it was able to get it canceled and moved to March 14th, so I’m able to have that moment with her. And, before the game, she told me now that the dance is canceled, she wants to win the Super Bowl a little bit more,” Barkley stated.
Unfortunately, since it was moved to March 14th, it meant Saquon had to miss the Maxwell Football Club Awards because he chose to take his daughter Jada to the Daddy/Daughter Dance instead.
Saquon Barkley Is Someone Who Loves Giving Back
He’s done so many charity events over the years that it’s honestly hard to keep track. *Hey Phillies – Take Note* Anyway, this was adorable. Saquon surprised a group of students from Chester Community Charter School at a local Applebee’s. He later gave each kid their own signed football and even celebrated one of the students’ birthdays. He also did a Q&A with the students, allowing them to ask him their own questions. As you can see in the video, he even allowed them to compete in a race. It’s hilarious because he looks like he was walking when he was running so slow.
