Here are 12 Songs Usher should perform during the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Yesterday, the NFL announced their Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show performer. Usher will do the honors this year and he couldn’t be more excited.

The 2024 Super Bowl is slated for February 11th, 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Usher currently has a residency at the Dolby Live indoor amphitheater at the Park MGM Hotel and Casino and he is also promoting a new album that will release on the same day as the Super Bowl. This is a very smart business decision for both his residency, his album release, and his brand. After an artist performs at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, album sales, streaming numbers, and downloads go through the roof.

Being a performer at the Super Bowl Halftime Show has to be filled with anxiety.  You only get about 15 minutes to perform a ton of your hits, you are performing in front of 100’s of millions of people, and it’s all happening live.  We have seen our fair share of mishaps during live television performances during sporting events. That has to be on a performer’s mind.

Anyone who does accept the Super Bowl Halftime Show performance duties always has big shoes to fill because of some of the past performances.  Prince’s performance in 2007 was unbelievable and could be the greatest performance of all time, also some other big ones include Bruce Springsteen in 2009, Beyonce in 2013, Bruno Mars in 2014, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez in 2020, Aerosmoth with N’Sync, Nelly, Mary J. Blige, and Britney Spears in 2001.

Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and Madonna have also graced the Super Bowl Halftime Show stage.  This performance is a HUGE deal!

Usher is no stranger to the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Back in 2011, the Black Eyed Peas headlined the halftime show but Usher came out as a surprise guest when he performed his smash hit “OMG.”

The guy has tons of hits, tons of collaborations, and just as many dance moves as he has songs.  You know a few special guests will be coming out to join him on stage.  Usher is a complete performer so this should be super fun to watch!

Now that Usher has the stage to himself, here are songs that should perform during the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

  • "Yeah" featuring Lil Jon & Ludacris

He will definitely perform this song during the halftime show.  This is one if not his biggest hit ever.  You could easily see both Lil Jon and Ludacris coming out to help out Usher with this one!

  • "Love In This Club" featuring Young Jeezy

Another classic from Usher.  This song gets the party started and he will definitely have this on the SB Halftime Show playlist.

  • "DJ's Got Us Falling In Love" featuring Pitbull

Usher is known for big party anthems and this song is way up there in that category.  He will play this song and the crowd will go nuts and everyone at home will be dancing along! Will Pitbull make a surprise appearance?  You never know.  What happens in Vegas…

  • "Without You" w/ David Guetta

This is technically a David Guetta track but David Guetta is a DJ and does not sing on the track.  Usher provides the vocals for this EDM classic.  This will certainly make the crowd get up and dance or keep dancing!

  • "Confessions Part II"

This is one of his most popular songs from arguably his best album.  I think he has to play this song because of the popularity.

  • "My Way'

The title track from his 2nd album will be in the playlist. This album put Usher on the map and showed that his performance skills are top notch!

  • "You Make Me Wanna"

This song was the song to put Usher on everyone’s radar. It was the first single off his breakthrough 2nd album. He shows off his singing voice and his slick dance moves.

  • "U Remind Me"

His first single off of his 3rd studio album called 8701.  The song hit #1 immediately and this song showed the world that Usher was not slowing down anytime soon.

  • "O.M.G." featuring Will.I.Am.

He performed this at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2011 with Will.I.Am. and you will probably hear it again! Could Will.I.Am come out and return the favor?

  • "U Don't Have To Call"

Okay, now it’s starting to get tough to narrow this down.  The Super Bowl Halftime Show needs to be way longer to fit all of Usher’s classics.  This song is another one of those classics!

  • "Burn"

Another classic song off of his Confessions album.  I could see him doing this song with a lot of pyro and fire on the stage.  You know his performance will include tons of dancing and pyrotechnics.

  • "Good Good" featuring Summer Walker & 21 Savage

This is the lead single from his brand new album “Coming Home” which is actually coming out on February 11th.  He kinda has to perform this song because he wants to promote his new album.  Will Summer Walker & 21 Savage come out for this performance? I could see it!
