Here on The Andie Summers Show, we are big football fans but just as big of fans of the favorite Super Bowl commercials that come along with the big, big game! So many good ones to choose from, kind of hard to break it down.
Favorite Super Bowl Commercials Cost
We learned from our friend Erica Banas all about just how expensive it is to have your company advertise for the big game and it is not a small cost, let me tell you. Here’s more info from Erica’s article.
“Obviously, these ads cost millions to produce, but the cost of the airtime alone was worth millions. According to The Wall Street Journal, the average cost for a 30-second Super Bowl commercial was $7 million. The cost has gone up significantly since 2010. Back then, the average cost for a 30-second spot was $2.6 million. However, the most mind-blowing price WSJ shared was the cost of an ad during the first Super Bowl in 1967. All of those years ago, when the Big Game was broadcast on NBC and CBS, a 30-second ad had a whopping price tag of $42,000.”
What Was Advertised This Year?
I feel like the celebs were out to PLAY this year when it comes to cameos in commercials and starring in them. Dunkin’ was a big time advertiser with a ton of celebs (that one you see below, but who picked it?) plus Nerds and M&Ms made an appearance.
Don’t forget about UberEats which brought in a bunch of stars in their commercial plus there was some hilarious State Farm action during the ad as well.
Each member of The Andie Summers Show has chosen their favorite commercials from the big game but we want to start first with some honorable mentions that didn’t make our Top Four!
