10 Hilarious SNL Halloween Sketches To Watch

SNL is Back!

It’s my favorite time of the year! No, not spooky season, Saturday Night Live season! With the writers strike finally coming to an end, SNL will bless my TV screen once again. If you don’t already know this about me, I am a massive fan of the show. Like, really huge. I haven’t missed an episode in over 13 years. It’s actually one of the reasons I took a career in radio. I have yet to be at a live show, but you bet I’ve been trying to make my way into 30 Rock.

SNL Lottery

Since I was 16 years old, I have been entering the SNL lottery every year in hopes to win tickets. For the whole month of August, SNL opens its lottery to anxious fans. You have one chance to convince their staff that YOU deserve to be an audience member at a dress- rehearsal or live taping. That’s a lot of pressure! Obviously, my pleads haven’t worked in the past, so I’m asking The Andie Summers Show to help me out. Here is one of my past submissions to the SNL team asking for tickets.

A Very SNL Halloween

Now that it’s Halloween season, Saturday Night Live is gearing up for its annual Halloween special. This tradition dates all the way back to the show’s first season in 1975. The sketches, parodies, and musical performances are all fun and spooky, and they help to create a sense of excitement for the holiday. I look forward to it every year.

These Saturday Night Live Halloween sketches are a must-watch for anyone who loves the spooky holiday. And it’s a great way to get into the holiday spirit. I hope to have introduced you to ones you’ve never seen before!

I’m listing my favorite Halloween sketches that will make you crack up!

  • David S. Pumpkins

What an incredibly goofy sketch! Tom Hanks debuted his recurring Halloween character in 2016. The sketch has gained so much traction that fans of the show even dress as David S. Pumpkins for Halloween.

  • Chucky

The SNL Chucky digital short is a hilarious and absurd parody of the Child’s Play horror franchise. Chucky, the possessed doll, is portrayed as a goofy and incompetent employee in a corporate office, who is constantly getting into trouble with his coworkers and boss.

  • Chad In A Haunted Mansion

Pete Davidson, plays his recurring character, Chad, is a stereotypical 21-year-old. In this Halloween digital short, Chad is completely oblivious to the fact that he is in a haunted mansion.

  • Superhero Party

Throwback! The sketch features a group of superheroes, including Superman, Lois Lane, the Flash, and the Hulk, attending a party hosted by Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

  • Stefan

Stefan is here to give Seth Meyers the hottest Halloween tips including, a party where the guests are required to come dressed as their own worst fear. Bill Hader is known for breaking during this character, so this one is worth the watch.

  • Haunted House

Hugh Laurie a ghost hunter with a gassy stomach, who is more interested in making excuses than finding ghosts. Laurie’s performance is hilarious and absurd, making the sketch a classic SNL moment.

  • Vince Price's Halloween Special

You just can’t go wrong with Bill Hader’s impressions. His recurring character, Vince Prince is hosting a Halloween party and inviting some questionable guests.

  • A Girl's Halloween

This sketch perfectly depicts a typical girls night out. There’s a lot of getting ready, promising yourself you won’t drink too much, and falling down in the street.

  • Garth And Kat On Halloween

Garth and Kat are a folk-singing duo on Saturday Night Live who are perpetually flustered and often forget the titles of their songs. On one Halloween episode, they perform a song called “The Wackiest Witch,” which is about a witch who is so wacky that she even scares herself. Garth and Kat’s performances are always unpredictable and hilarious, and their Halloween episode is no exception.

  • Spooky Song

The sketch opens with two teenagers visiting a graveyard on Halloween night in search of a private place to make out. However, their plans are interrupted when four ghosts, played by Chance the Rapper, Kenan Thompson, Beck Bennett, Mikey Day, and Aidy Bryant, appear and begin singing about how they died. You will lose your mind when its revealed how Chance the Rapper’s character died.
