If you are looking for a cute, unusual, crazy, or memorable idea for your Christmas Card Photo this year, you will find it here.
What kind of person are you?
Are you one of those people who love getting Christmas card photos from friends, family, and people you barely know anymore? I have mixed feelings. While I love seeing children grow and reading highlights from the year past, I get a pang of guilt for every envelope I open. I haven’t sent Christmas cards since my kids were really little. It just got to be too much! Juggling work and family during the year is bad enough, but during the holidays we have to add presents, decorating, cooking, baking, entertaining, and cards to the list. I don’t know how anyone pulls it off.
Now that my children are a teen and tween, they can actually help me with these ‘mom-tasks’ as I like to call them. That means we have time to make something fabulous … so I thought I would share my ideas with you!
Holiday Hassle
Every year, thousands of people take the photo, create the card, and mail it to everyone on their ‘Holiday Card’ list, and let’s face it, it can be a colossal hassle. If you have teenagers, you undoubtedly will choose a photo at least one of them is not happy with. If you did not have a major life event in the past year, like a wedding, engagement, or graduation, chances are you had to rely on a selfie or stranger to take your photo rather than a professional. And if you are not Photo Shop savvy, there is nothing you can do to make the dog turn his head toward the camera in the one picture that everyone in the family agrees on.
