Towards the end of every year, we hear of the announcing of the WORD OF THE YEAR! But now all three major dictionaries are getting in on the action by announcing their own.

  • Merrian-Webster...

    GASLIGHTING

    “the act or practice of grossly misleading someone especially for one’s own advantage.”

  • Oxford...

    GOBLIN MODE

    Yeah, we’ve never heard of that either. This was per their statement… “Seemingly, it captured the prevailing mood of individuals who rejected the idea of returning to ‘normal life,’ or rebelled against the increasingly unattainable aesthetic standards and unsustainable lifestyles exhibited on social media.”
