Dierks Bentley‘s nemesis is back. Hot Country Knights might be haunting his next tour …
Hot Country Knights – the band of mulleted 90’s country lovers (who bear a striking resemblance to Dierks Bentley and his backup band) were said to have retired … but it looks like they’re back!

According to The Boot, Dierks says that Doug Douglason (who looks a lot like the country singer) and the gang are looking at a new project. Not only that, but the ’90s themed country group – who had enlisted older stars like Travis Tritt and Terri Clark as duet partners on their 2020 album, “The K is Silent” – have brought in some next-gen artists to join them this go-around, including one Lainey Wilson.

Like Clark Kent and Superman, you never see Dierks and Doug Douglason in the same room, but make no mistake about it, the two share a love for 90’s country, and Dierks says that it’s a distinct possibility the Knights could show up to play a few songs on his headlining tour.

Dierks said he’s tried to ban the band from the shows, but:
“Doug has a way of sweet-talking his way past the ladies. Usually the security at our show is ladies 65 and older, and that’s kinda his wheelhouse. He has a real way of charming those gals.”
Dierks Bentley’s “Gravel & Gold” tour kicks off June 1 in Toronto – and if you go, keep an eye out for Hot Country Knights.
