There is a special place in heaven for people who work at animal rescues. Whether you run the rescue or volunteer, you’re doing God’s work, and I’m not the only one who thinks so. This pup is going to warm your heart.
Bailey is your typical brown dog who was rescued off the streets of El Paso, Texas. She was lucky enough to be adopted by a loving family, but Bailey’s new digs made her a little skittish and she bolted. After hours of looking for her, the adoptive family contacted the shelter they adopted her from. The Animal Rescue League of El Paso sent out an APB to the community, posting signs and social media posts.
But they didn’t need to. Bailey made his way back to The Animal Rescue League of El Paso and rang the doorbell at 1:30am. No one was in the shelter, but luckily they have a doorbell that alerted a worker’s phone that someone, or some dog, was there.
They were able to get to the shelter and put Bailey in her former run until her new family could pick her up the next day and everyone is living happily ever after.
By the way, the family who adopted Bailey can’t imagine how she made it back to the shelter from their home since they live 10-miles away!!! Luckily, Bailey seemed healthy, happy, and uninjured during her adventure.
