She outlined some things that happened in their relationship that Evans says are just “not reality” and encourages fans to “please don’t be mean.”

Kelsea Ballerini has opened up about her divorce in the recent months and it has caused drama amongst the country music community and within the fanbases of both her and Morgan Evans.
She chatted with Alex Cooper of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast on Spotify and detailed the difficulties they went through. See more here.
“There were separations, there was years of couples therapy. There was like, many a night of sleeping on the couch,” she says. “I don’t think it was the first night, but it was a night where I was like, this is not what I want.” She continues: “I slept on the couch the night before the CMAs and I remember I went to rehearsal at the arena and texting him and him being like, ‘I’ll just see you at the carpet.'”
The “Half Of My Hometown” singer filed for divorce in August of 2022 after nearly five years of marriage. She was only 23-years old when she got engaged, Morgan Evans is roughly eight years older.

Ballerini went into detail as to what Evans has been doing throughout the divorce proceedings and doesn’t seem to be happy about how things are going.
“As he’s putting out a song about being blindsided, he’s taking half the house that he didn’t pay for,” Ballerini revealed. “How was I married to this person for this long and I had no idea that that bit of character was tucked within that human being?”
The two have obviously had their differences but after the release of Kelsea’s interview on “Call Her Daddy” plus her short film, Morgan Evans had to speak out. You can see his thoughts below.
