The Phillies are in the playoffs for the second straight season as a wild-card team. But, in a stroke of luck, the Phillies home home-field advantage for the World Series could actually happen (which is insane to think about).
Phillies Home Field Advantage
So the Phillies started their postseason off with a best-of-three series in Philadelphia as the top Wild Card seed. They played host to the Miami Marlins they who quickly swept them out of the playoffs. That was easy.
Phillies NLDS Matchup
The National League Division Series is a five-game series (first to win three games). The Los Angeles Dodgers, the two seed, will take on the Arizona Diamondbacks, two National League West rivals. And then, of course, the scared one seed, the Atlanta Braves will take our our Philadelphia Phillies.
Both the Braves and the Dodgers occupy home-field advantage. They will host games one and two, be on the road for three and four (if needed), and end a game five (also if needed) at home.
