The new 2023 TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Top Beaches in the U.S. was just released. The first state I think of for best beaches would be Hawaii. I have never been to Hawaii but I can only imagine how amazing it is. Florida would be the 2nd pick for me, followed by beaches in California.
I would not expect New Jersey to make the list but one Jersey Shore town made the list! I am a Jersey Boy born and bred and I am not putting Jersey down but I just don’t think of a shore town in my backyard to be named to the list. I will say the Jersey Shore has some of the best boardwalks, food, bars, etc…
I grew up going to Seaside Heights playing all of the boardwalk games, the quick drive from my house to Belmar to go boogey-boarding and then grab lunch at the McDonald’s that was right on the beach. Head over to Sea Girt to grab a bite at Parker House, or rent a house for a week in LBI. As you can see, I am more of a Central/North Jersey guy. I grew up in Mercer County so the trip directly east was much quicker than going south to Wildwood, Avalon, Cape May, Sea Isle, etc… I have frequented those beach towns numerous times and they never disappoint.
The Jersey Shore town that made the list came right outside the top 10 and landed at #11. Now when I think back about this town, I totally agree. It’s gorgeous.
TripAdvisor also put out the Top Beaches In The World as well. (I haven’t heard of half of these)
