WASHINGTON, DC - JUNE 17: Bryce Harper #3 of the Philadelphia Phillies gets ready to bat in the fifth inning against the Washington Nationals during game one of a doubleheader at Nationals Park on June 17, 2022 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Greg Fiume/Getty Images)

He’s back baby!! In his first minor league game back, Harper went 2-for-3 with two home runs and two walks. Including in his very first at-bat back, he homered. He has been “designated for assignment” with the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

He is currently rehabbing an injury he sustained on June 25th where his thumb was fractured by a pitch. He is expected to play through Saturday’s game in Lehigh Valley and then take Sunday off. Rumors are flying that he will join the Phillies on Monday in Arizona for a possible return!
