The Andie Summers Show

This honestly might be the cutest thing that we’ve see in a while!! When we say that this is perfect for kids that need a little pick-me-up (no pun intended).

At Children’s Health of Orange County, there are little cars driving around EVERYWHERE for their patients to be able to drive themselves to their appointments and treatments.

“To see the joy on the faces of these young patients when they get behind the wheel of Shogo is truly rewarding,” said Hundy Liu, manager of national advertising at American Honda Motor Company.

This completely electric vehicle designed by Honda is intended to bring a little more joy to these kids going through something no child should EVER have to do.

The car is called the Shogo, and it was designed in order to navigate the hallways while also carrying an IV bags that the patient may need.  It actually makes what would be a pretty stressful journey into a really fun one!

One mom said, “I heard Charlie laugh harder than the whole time he’s been in the hospital, so hearing that laugh again makes me want to cry.”

I mean, that makes all the difference, right? The look on their face! That laugh, that smile. All worth.

“As someone who spent time in the hospital as a young child, I really wanted the number one objective of Shogo to be easing the hardship of a hospital stay by providing kids a lasting positive memory about that experience.” Randall Smock, a senior exterior designer of vehicles for Honda

This story is pretty amazing, we hope it continues to expand into hospitals all across the world, especially that it comes to the amazing children’s hospitals we have her in the Philadelphia area! Check out this video because you have to see Shogo in action!
