Always leading with grace, Walker Hayes has spoken up after Zach Bryan’s Applebees Song comment on X (formerly Twitter). I’ve put the entire conversation below so you can see the conversations and how they all went down.

How The Zach Bryan’s Applebees Song Feud Started
It all started when Zach Bryan reacted to a post by Whiskey Riff on X. The post read, “Tyler Childers Scores First-Ever Charting Single At Mainstream Country Radio With ‘In Your Love'” He responded with “‘First ever’ is f—in insane, one of the best songwriters to ever do it.”
Obviously, Bryan is unhappy with the radio play that Childers has been receiving over his career. Childers is nominated for Best Country Album at the Grammys this year. Here’s the song that is referenced “In Your Love” which you can listen to below.
Where Does Walker Hayes Come Into This?
That’s a great question, considering the headline is “Walker Hayes Responds To Zach Bryan’s Applebees Song Comment” so you would think he would be involved, right? Well, it’s HOW he got involved that is the important part here.
Zach Bryan, in a string of posts on his X account, included this “Imagine being radio (whoever the hell that is), hearing Shake the Frost and being like ‘no no let’s go with the Applebees song’” The songs he refers to is Childers “Shake the Frost” and then, of course, the smash hit from Walker Hayes, “Fancy Like.”
Here’s the Childers song for those who might not know it.
And, then of course, here’s “Fancy Like” by Walker Hayes which was a massive hit after it was released in 2020.
