A survey by the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council reveals that Americans will eat over 150 million hot dogs on July 4th. I guess that includes the enormous amount of hot dogs downed during the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. According to Dirtfork, Champ Joey Chestnut claims that he gains 24 pounds on the 4th. The competition only lasts 10 minutes.

Kenny Chesney and Ed Sheeran sat down together for the very first time and wrote Kenny’s next single. Ed’s been keeping company with a lot of country artists lately – he’s written with Keith Urban, Tim & Faith, Kelsea Ballerini and Darius Rucker.
The Kenny Chesney song is called “Tip of My Tongue” and it will be on his next studio album, but we should get to hear it next week.
