NASCAR’s Ryan Newman Cleared To Return Two Months After Crash
NASCAR driver Ryan Newman has been cleared to return to racing, two months after he was seriously injured in a crash at the Daytona 500. Roush Fenway Racing announced that the 42-year-old Newman was “medically cleared to resume all racing activities and will pilot the No. 6 Ford once NASCAR returns to action”. Newman has called his speedy recovery a “miracle” after sustaining a head injury in the Feb. 16th crash. The coronavirus suspension means Newman will only miss a total of three races.
Meanwhile, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper said in a media briefing that NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 race is on track to run May 24 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Get the info here.
