A Shore Point city in South Jersey makes the list among the best places to be single.
I have to admit, I’m a little salty about this (pun intended). Every time I was at the shore this Summer the water has been FREEZING! I was in Ocean City for a week and couldn’t go into the water once. Well it’s changing this weekend!
During “upwelling” events in late July and earlier this month, the toe-chilling waters dipped into the mid-50s — 55.8 on Aug. 10 – which is when I was there!
The water temperature off Atlantic City reached a record 83.8 degrees on the official government gauge Tuesday night, setting a record. The previous record, 83.3, was set Aug. 10, 2016, said Jim Eberwine, retired marine meteorologist at the National Weather Service Office in Mount Holly and now Absecon’s emergency management chief.
Thank you Conde Nast Traveler, I now have a long list of destinations to add to my must see list. The publication listed the 26 most beautiful towns in America and one New Jersey beach town made the list. Cape May is on the list with Nantucket, Massachusetts, St. Michaels, Maryland, Marfa, Texas, and Camden, Maine to name a few.
If you’ve ever been to Cape May you would probably agree it deserves to be on the list. Quaint and beautiful, Cape May is full of colorful Victorian homes, delicious restaurants, local boutiques, the Cape May lighthouse, and of course the beach.
So if you’re anything like me and now have added numerous destinations to your travel list, just know you can get to one just down the Parkway very easily. Happy travels!
