The crew at Zippa.com has put together a new story featuring the most popular New Year’s resolution in each state. The most popular result ion in the entire country is not what you would think. It’s not getting fit or eating better. The most popular New Year’s resolution is seeking therapy, which is the top choice in 12 states. Next down the line was wanting to lose weight, which is the most popular choice in 8 states. Next, 23% of Americans said they wanted to start living healthier. Not to be the messenger of bad news, but according to the study, 41% of Americans make New Year’s resolutions, and only 9% are successful.
So, what’s No. 1 in Pennsylvania? Therapy. According to the study, getting therapy was the No. 1 most desired New Year’s resolution in the Keystone State. As previously mentioned, getting therapy was the No. 1 choice in 12 states, making it the most popular resolution. Other popular New Year’s resolutions were weight training, saving money, taking a vacation, getting better sleep, getting a new job and reading more.
