Pennsylvania Has One of ‘America’s Greatest Roadside Restaurants’
Everyone loves a good roadside restaurant or diner. Here in Pennsylvania, we have many of them. Now, one Pennsylvania roadside restaurant has been crowned one of the best in America. This is a great thing if you have any big road trips planned for the spring and summer months, to satisfy your hunger on the road.
Blog.cheapism.com has put together a list of “America’s Greatest Roadside Restaurants.” They talk about how great it is to find a gem of a restaurant during a long road tip. “Road trips don’t have to mean eating only at gas station convenience stores, though some are pretty amazing,” the article states. “America is full of noteworthy roadside restaurants, places that showcase some of the most memorable and unique regional cuisines the country has to offer.”
In total, Blog.cheapism.com picked 29 restaurants to highlight throughout the country, so not every state made the cut. Pennsylvania does, however, have one restaurant that made the tally.
The Wellsboro Diner in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, as been named one of “American’s Greatest Roadside Restaurants.” Of the stop, the publication states, “Named one of America’s best classic diners by the Huffington Post, Wellsboro Diner focuses on serving classic dishes such ad roast beef sandwiches, burgers, and homemade soups. But its fresh-baked pies and cakes have earned the diner a reputation for being a great stop along Route 6 for a delicious meal.” How amazing does that sound?
