In order to live comfortably in the cities that HomeSnacks.com deems are among the richest in Pennsylvania, you have to make an average of $90,000 a year. In many of these cities, the median income is much greatest. In addition, HomeSnacks.com adds, “Monetary wealth does make a city rich, but there are cities on our list that are both rich in the dollar as well as rich in amenities. Cities on our list like Perkasie provide the backdrop for fancy wine tasting, and cities like Camp Hill provide multiple outlets for the one activity that rich people like to do most: head to the spa.”
So, what’s No. 1 richest city in Pennsylvania? Fox Chapel takes that honor, with a population of just 5,314, according to the study. The median income in this area is $247,930. Nottoo shabby, right? The poverty rate is just 1.0% in Fox Chapel, according to the study. Rounding out the top five richest cities in the Keystone State are Conshohocken at No. 2, followed by Camp Hill, Plum and Jefferson Hills. Find the full list of cities here.
