“Should I Put A Camera In My Elderly Mother’s House Without Her Knowing?”
Stacey writes from Instagram:
My mom is 88 and lives in the house I grew up in all by herself. She’s pretty hard-headed and refuses to move in with one of her kids or go into a home. For Christmas, we got her a LifeAlert and she refuses to wear it. She’s prone to falling and I just couldn’t live by myself if she fell and can’t get in touch with us.
My husband said he can discreetly mount a camera in the living room, where you can see the kitchen, and her bedroom without her knowing. I feel like it’s a massive invasion of her privacy but also, obviously, only using it for her safety. Is this okay to do?
