First Whole Foods in Bucks County Opening on March 13
The first Whole Foods in Bucks County will open a new storefront in Doylestown Township at the Barn Plaza on Thursday, March 13, at 8 a.m. The market, at 1745 S. Easton Road, will occupy approximately 43,617 square feet of space.
To celebrate the opening, Whole Foods will treat the first 300 customers in line to a custom tote bag and Secret Saver coupon featuring offers of up to $100 off, according to a Patch of Doylestown report. Customers will also be treated to complimentary coffee from Backyard Beans and food samples from Aaji’s.
Whole Foods will donate food that morning to Manna on Main Street. The Lansdale-based nonprofit previously received a refrigerated van from the retailer, which it uses to pick up surplus food from Whole Foods Market stores and redistribute it to those in need in the community.
The new Whole Foods Market will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and feature more than 500 local items from the mid-Atlantic region. Daniela D’Ambrosio is the Bucks County forager who solicits local and emerging brands to offer to customers at Whole Foods.
In addition to the new Whole Foods Market’s presence at the Barn Plaza, the entire shopping center is undergoing several enhancements, including new signage and a stylish look. A former Applebee’s at the site was demolished and is being replaced by a standalone Applebee’s under construction in the shopping center’s parking lot. A new building constructed next to the Urgent Care facility will be home to three new dining establishments, including a Chipotle Mexican Grill and First Watch, a casual breakfast, lunch, and brunch restaurant. A tenant has yet to be named for the third storefront.
