Trey Louis is gaining a very quick and passionate fanbase after his amazing American Idol audition went massively viral. You guessed it, he did move on to Hollywood!

Also, a massive thing we learned about Trey Louis (also known as “Trey from the Fe”) is that he was actually a survivor of a school shooting in Santa Fe, Texas. In 2018, a shooter entered Santa Fe High School and ultimately killed eight students and two teachers.
Here’s what Trey had to say about his experience that fateful day.
“In May 2018, a gunman walked into my school, I was in art room one, he shot up art room two before he made his way to art room one. I lost a lot of friends. Eight students were killed. Two teachers were killed. It’s just really been negative man, Santa Fe’s had a bad rap since 2018.”
The judges, consisting of Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, were visibly shaken from the story told by the 21-year-old contestant but Perry seemed to truly take it to her heart.
She became very emotional over the fact that Trey should be here auditioning with his amazing voice without having this awful past. She also encouraged him to use this to help facilitate change in this country.
Luke Bryan added when it came to his performance, “You let it come out of your heart and that’s what we love around here.”
There’s a very good chance that this artist will be all over our radio station soon so we wanted to hear the voice that a lot of people are comparing to Chris Stapleton!
