Jeff Kurkjian and his wife were at the Phillies ring ceremony back on Sunday, April 9th. What a season that we all got to celebrate together, absolutely incredible.
The Phillies were the National League Champions of the 2022 season. After narrowly making it to the playoffs with a record of 87-75, they occupied the final spot in the playoffs. In the new format, they would have to play the St. Louis Cardinals in the Wild Card Round.

The Journey Continues…
They ultimately swept the Cardinals in the three game series with two quick games on the road and would move onto play their division rival, the Atlanta Braves. They also took them down 3-1 in a five-game series, once again playing as the underdog!

Onto The National League Championship Series
This would be the Phillies biggest test to date, taking on the San Diego Padres who finished 89-73 during the season but had a team much better than the record showed. Since they had a worse record, they would once again begin this series on the road and be considered the underdog.
That didn’t stop them!! The Phillies made it look easy with a 4-1 victory of the Padres in the seven-game series giving them the National League Championship! On that team was Jean Segura who now is a Miami Marlin. He was honored the next game in a very cool moment.
