A huge contract for the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, Jalen Hurts who is going to be spending a whole lot more time in this great city. He got an absolutely MASSIVE contract for his hard work the last few seasons with the Eagles.
If you saw the breaking news yesterday, he agreed to a five-year, $255 million extension which is absolutely amazing for this young quarterback who led the Eagles to the Super Bowl in 2022. That means he will be quarterback for this team through the 2027 season, AWESOME!
Eagles and Jalen Hurts reached agreement on a five-year, $255 million extension, including $179.304 million guaranteed, per source.

This Is What The City Needed
A lot of the times when players take their team to (or win) the Super Bowl, well they end up leaving to play for a team that is going to pay them for their efforts in the previous year. In fact, the Eagles actually lost both their offensive and defensive coordinators in the offseason and had to replace those guys.
Jalen Hurts Contract Is Huge
In an offseason where a lot of players are lingering with big contract deals (cough cough Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens cough) this is huge for the front office to get this deal done.
In fact, maybe it’s a good thing like quarterbacks like Jackson who is looking to find his worth in the open market and with a deal like 5-years, $255 million, well that’s only going to up the value of the quarterbacks around the league, at least set the standard.
