If you’re a dog owner you know man’s best friend often makes better decisions than his human.
People who work in animal shelters are doing God’s work. I can’t thank you enough for pouring your heart and soul into finding fur-ever homes for these little fur-babies. If you work at a shelter, have adopted a pet, or even ever visited a shelter, you know that some pets are happier in their temporary home than others. Let me tell you about Scout …
Scout is one of those pups who just can’t sit still. Since 2017, this guy has been cared for at theAntrim County Animal Shelter. And since 2017 he’s escaped from the shelter and run across the road to the nursing home. Always to the same place. Whenever Scout couldn’t be found at the shelter, workers at both the shelter and the nursing home would know to look on the sofa in the lobby of the Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.
The director of the Meadow Brook said they don’t know why Scout chose them, but he did, so they chose him. Yes, the employees at the nursing home decided this is Scout’s new home. They adopted him and he has been changing the lives of residents ever since.
The director said Scout provides so much more than just a smile on the faces of residents, workers, and visitors; he also keeps a close eye on some of the residents there and can tell when they’re in distress or just need a cuddle.
