“Fan” is short for “fanatic” and that just about sums up the crowds that love two of music’s biggest artists. It’s Taylor Swift fans vs Morgan Wallen on social media, and thing are getting heated.
Taylor Swift was injured during her Eras tour at her show in Houston this weekend (scroll down for photo). One fan even referred to the injury as her “amputated her hand.” It was far from that, but there was a big gash taken out of her palm.
Taylor took to social media last night to explain what happened, and reassure fans that she was doing ok.
She posted this on Twitter:
“I cut my hand, I’m totally fine and it was my fault completely – tripped on my dress hem and fell in the dark backstage while running to a quick change – braced my fall with my palm. It was all very Mercury in retrograde coded. Don’t worry about me I’m gooooood.”
Despite the injury, Taylor plans to continue the tour … unlike Morgan Wallen who is getting criticized by Swifties as well as his own fans after canceling shows due to “vocal problems.” As fans waited for Morgan to take the stage in Oxford, Mississippi, they were alerted to his medical condition by a sign on the jumbo screens:
Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight. Therefore, tonight’s show has been canceled. Please make your way safely to the stadium exits. Refunds for tonight’s event will be available at point of purchase.
Needless to say, fans in Mississippi were super disappointed. As are fans in Michigan, Illinois, and Nebraska because he cancelled those shows, too!
Will Morgan Wallen cancel his show in our city?
