The Andie Summers Show

This Ted Lasso Season 3 Premiere review will leave you wanting more!

It’s a bitter sweet day for me and Mr. Summers. While we’re excited for the Season 3 Premiere of Ted Lasso, we know it’s the final season and I’m just not ready to give it up just yet. Since my husband is out of town until the weekend, we won’t be watching until then, but I can’t stay away COMPLETELY. I mean, what am I? A neanderthal?! So I’ve been doing a deep dive into reviews (without spoilers) of the new season.

According to the reviews I’ve read, it seems this season take a minute to get it’s heart back. Remember, when we last saw our favorite club from Richmond Keeley was moving on to her own business and Nate was an absolute ______. But what I’m told is that when Keeley and Rebecca finally reunite on camera, the heart of the show is back.

According to IGN:

This premiere may not have that usual Ted Lasso shine, but it sure does know how to say “don’t worry, I have a point” without actually saying anything of the kind. The performances are still great, the writing still shines, the shots are still prettier than a comedy needs to be, but I want the laughs, and I hope to see them return way before we see any real resolution to the multiple strained storylines across Season 3. That said, I’m absolutely picking up what the Ted Lasso writers are putting down. And, even if I wasn’t, if there’s one thing that this wonderful, heartfelt, messy-in-this-one-episode series has taught me, it’s to believe.

Thank you, Amelia Emberwing.  That’s exactly what I wanted to hear.
