Enjoy a celebration of local music at Turks Head Music Festival.

The Turks Head Music Festival is a free, annual festival held in West Chester. The festival features unique live music, food, and arts and crafts. The 2023 festival will be held on Sunday, June 4th from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Everhart Park.

In addition to the music, the festival will also feature a variety of food and arts and crafts vendors. Over 70 artists and vendor booths will be set up throughout the park. There will be lots of food from local vendors, face painting, clowns, axe throwing and moon bounces too.

The Turks Head Music Festival is a great way to spend a summer day in West Chester.   Admission is free, so bring a blanket, your lawn chairs, and friends and enjoy this West Chester tradition.

Two stages will feature eight local bands performing different genres of music, including Rock, Pop, Folk, RnB, Country and Blues.

Tom Wang is an actor and entertainer with a theater background. He is a singing story teller. Over the last few years, Tom has created the singing, story-telling, troubadour character, High Tide Tom. His debut album, “Days Like This” (available on iTunes, etc). Tom is hosted this festival from 2010-2017 and is excited to be back to host the event again.

Katie Barbato has performed at the Philadelphia Folk Festival and records Barbato composes music for TV and film, such as the theme she wrote for the movie Sugar. Her song “Magical Ending” is featured in the Netflix drama “Yankee”, the MTV series “Busch Family Brewed”, and several of her songs have been featured on the Australian television show “Neighbours”.

    Tree Walker is a rock band from Delaware. They have a new tune out entitled “Terra Incognita.”

    Will Borda is a blues rock trio. Their music is a mix of classic blues and rock influences.

    Strange Neighbors has a number of gigs coming up in NY and PA. They got start in New York in 2018. They describe themselves as Jangly Power Pop.

  • 4:00 pm Lost Northern Tribe

    The Lost Northern Tribe performs their own style of Honky Tonk, Accordion Roots Americana, Cajon, Creole, Country, Irish, Rock-n-Roll, Tex-Mex, Blues, Gospel, Rhythm-n-Blues and Zydeco music. They have got it all. think of it as Musical Gumbo. The band formed in Media, PA, but the band is made up of members from Boston, Cleveland and Jacksonville, Florida.

    A trio of brothers, Pete, Jason and Mike Specht, have a progressive psychedelic rock sound. PA is homebase, but they  tour all over.

    They formed in 2013 planning to be be the best 80s flashback band they could be.  When they decided to dress like characters from Back To The Future, things changed.  they became part of the Back to the Future community and were cast in the 30th Anniversary documentary Back In Time.

  • 6:00 pm Steve Liberace

    Steve Liberace plays contemporary and alternative rock. He has performed all across the United Stats as well as tours in the Virgin Islands.
