Could you imagine putting your pets on a plane in hopes of one day seeing them again? One woman reunited with dog after a year of saying goodbye. Pretty incredible that they was able to happen!
Freshta Siddiqui was fleeing Afghanistan after the Taliban took over in 2022 but before she left, she wanted to make sure her pets were safe. She has one cat, Leo, and one dog, Lucky, and they boarded a plane (without Siddiqui). The Society for the Prevention and Cruelty of Animals (SPCA) International chartered a plane to Canada in order to save animals, taking Leo and Lucky with them.
