Florida Georgia Line scored big recently when they became the only country artists in the 62-year history of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to have a second song sell over 10 million copies and be certified Diamond.

The first song they achieved RIAA Diamond status with was “Cruise,” and they managed to make history by doing it again with “Meant to Be” with Bebe Rexha.

The duo was honored for the monumental achievement during a Zoom celebration, and Tyler Hubbard said having two Diamond certified songs is definitely motivating and inspiring for the duo, “It’s always like, oh wow, the possibility’s there. Let’s try to beat that. Let’s try to beat that. Let’s see what we can do.”

Hubbard added, “It really does, it fuels me for sure and I know that it fuels BK. And I think it’s that 'song high' that we continue to chase day in and day out. It’s just in our blood. It’s who we are and when (the songs) blow up it just makes them special.”
