Kenny Chesney Celebrates ‘Late Night’ Birthday On Private Plane

Kenny Chesney celebrated his 55th birthday (3/26) the day before on Saturday night (3/25) with a concert in State College, Pennsylvania, and the whole crowd sang him “Happy Birthday.”

He posted the moment on his Insta stories. He also posted a video clip of his tour opener and duet partner Kelsea Ballerini singing “Happy Birthday” on his private plane after the show.

Kenny Posted a photo of himself, Ballerini, and his band on his private plane after the show on Instagram. He captioned the image, “One fun, late night birthday plane ride after our State College, PA show with @KelseaBallerini. What a blast. What a tour! And happy birthday also to my drummer @nickbuda. Love ya, man!! #IGOBACKTOUR.”

Many fans reacted to the post, including one who wrote, “From one Aries to another, Happy Birthday!!” Another fan commented, “Happy Birthday to my forever favorite artist and performer.” One more fan said, “Such an AMAZING night! Thank you, @kelseaballerini and @kennychesney, for making Happy Valley so Happy! #IGOBACKTOUR, #kennychesney.”

Chesney recently discussed something he never addresses at Nashville’s CRS: his marriage and annulment from Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger. When asked about keeping his personal life private and if the quick marriage had anything to do with that, Kenny said, “That changed a lot. What is interesting is we were playing stadiums already, and after that, I didn’t have social anxiety before that, [but] then you add our success, and then you add that to your life, and you have a little bit of social anxiety.”

He added, “And now, dealing with the way the world is today and how social everything is, and how information is transferred. Yeah, you’d have to be crazy to want to be a celebrity today.”

Chesney was then asked if he enjoyed being a celebrity. He answered, “Not really. I enjoy certain things about it; I shy away from the celebrity thing.” He added, “I say no to a lot of things that come my way that a lot of people might say yes to. It’s too celebrity-oriented in nature.”
