Thomas Rhett, Shay Mooney Embody King Bowser
Thomas Rhett posted a cute Halloween video to his Instagram. In it, he’s dressed as the Mario villain King Bowser and singing the song (“Peach”) that the character sang in the Super Mario Brothers movie. Thomas is singing to his daughter (Ada James) dressed for Halloween as Peach. And, strangely, he’s not the first country star to be King Bowser and sing to his kids. Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney did the same.
Thomas posted along with his sweet video, “@shaymooney, we were on the same wavelength.”
Rhett’s fans loved the video with one gushing, “I love this!!! So cute!! I’m also Bowser for Halloween.” Another fan said, “Such a great daddy.”
Shay posted a video clip on his Instagram yesterday (10/30) at the piano with his sons in the background dressed as the Mario Brothers and his wife dressed as Peach. Shay captioned his video, “Honestly…I think Bowser has a shot.”
Many fans reacted to his post, including one fan who commented, “I love this so much.” Another fan said, “Honestly, better than the original.” One more fan wrote, “My favorite forever.”

Rhett and his wife wife Lauren celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary a few weeks ago (10/12).
Sharing three photos of the couple with their arms around each other, Thomas wrote in the post on Instagram, “11 years married to this amazing woman. I can still remember what she looked like in first grade. I still remember how much taller than me she was at a church camp in 6th grade.”
He continued, “I still remember picking her up on our first date at 16. I still remember how fast my heart was beating when she walked down the aisle. Basically, I remember it all so vividly. I can’t believe how much life we have gotten to share together. @laur_akins, you have been and always will be my best friend.”
He concluded the post, “I thank God for you every single day. I love you so much. Thank you for loving me and everyone you know so well. Happy Anniversary (raised hands emoji) you+me+4.”
