Gabby Barrett Suddenly Cancels Three Upcoming Concerts Including Philadelphia Show
Oh no! If you bought tickets for tonight’s Kane Brown show with excitement to see opener Gabby Barrett, unfortunately you’re going to have to wait for another time. Gabby Barrett suddenly cancels three upcoming concerts including her Philadelphia show.
Gabby said on her Instagram story, “I’m sad to announce that I have to cancel this weekend of dates due to illness.” “I hate this part of it, but at the same time it’s best to let my voice and body recover rather than pushing through this time,” Barrett continued. ”I always strive to give my fans the best show possible when I step on stage and am looking forward to being back soon. Love y’all.”
This obviously would have been a big show for Gabby as Pennsylvania is her home state. She’s from Pittsburgh even though she lives in Nashville now, she always says how much growing up and being from Pennsylvania means to her.
Kane’s Philly show is even more special than normal since it’s his wife’s Katelyn’s hometown show. Katelyn is from West Chester, and is currently performing on tour with Kane when they sing their #1 song “Thank God.” Katelyn moved to Nashville as an aspiring musician. She met Kane through mutual friends and the rest is history. When I interviewed Kane a few times he said his in-laws always text him when I talk about him on air. He also revealed he sneaks back to the area alot and always works out at Planet Fitness and shops for sneakers at the King of Prussia mall.
Gabby was supposed to perform with Ashley McBryde at Wenonah Park in Bay City, MI on July 7 as well as two shows on Kane Brown’s Drunk or Dreaming Tour – The Mann in Philly on July 8 and at Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center in Canandaigua, NY on July 9.
Kane Brown's Amazing 18 Song Summer Tour Setlist Has Been Revealed
Kane Brown’s Drunk or Dreaming Tour has been lighting up cities all across the US over the last few months and he’s finally making his way to Philly Saturday, July 8th at The Mann. His amazing 18 song summer tour setlist is out and we can’t wait.
Here’s what Kane had to say about finally performing with his singer wife. “My fans have been waiting five years for us to sing together … There [were] actually four [other songs] that we had,” Kane told PEOPLE of the collaboration. “I was like, ‘Babe, you’re going to be on this one, or this one or this one.’ And then ‘Thank God’ came in and I was like, ‘This is the one.’ And she said the same thing, but I’m so glad I waited for this particular one to come out.”
He added, “I keep telling everybody she’s my secret weapon, but this song is just, like, us. I feel like it’s any relationship song or anybody that’s married or going to get married just knows. It’s like, ‘God put you in my life for a reason.’ ”
After Kane’s show at The Mann, we can get ready for Luke Combs to take over The Linc on July 28th and 29th. Luke hasn’t been to Philly since 2019 so the fact we get Kane and Luke within a few weeks, yay!
I was fortunate to see Kane at the Wells Fargo Center and in Atlantic City over the last two years and he’s always so good. If you haven’t seen him perform live yet, add it to your list asap.
