Chris Young Reminds Fans About Imposters On Social Media
Chances are, if you’re on social media and follow your favorite music artists, you’ve been followed by people pretending to be them.
Usually, it’s pretty obvious that these accounts are fake, but sometimes they fool even the biggest fans.
Over the last few months, several artists, such as Trace Adkins, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, and more have voiced concern about social media imposters — And Chris Young is no exception.
Yesterday, the country star shared a screenshot of a message to Twitter, saying he reports 10 plus imposter accounts every single day.
In a message to fans, Young said he doesn’t know how else to explain it, but wanted to alert fans that if they get a message from “him” asking for money or any other unusual request, it’s not really from him.
He reassured fans his verified accounts are the only accounts that he uses.
To see the tweet, please I DONT KNOW HOW ELSE TO SAY THIS!!!! I don’t want money. I always trust management. I’m not gonna send you my number in secret. This is my only account. STOP BELIEVING THESE ASSHOLES pic.twitter.com/jVEx8BEYKK
