“When I Was His Wife” Is Another Song Off Pistol Annies Upcoming Album
Earlier this week, Pistol Annies revealed the cover art and title of their upcoming album, Interstate Gospel.
Then, they also released three songs from the record.
The full album is set to drop November 2 and undoubtedly, speculation will continue about who the band is singing about in some of their songs.
Interstate Gospel. Out November 2nd. The best way to describe this record is that it sounds like 3 women came unleashed and told a bunch of truth. We didn’t hold back and we’re proud of it. #PistolAnniesAreBack

In “Got My Name Changed Back” the ladies sing about a cheating ex — Which many believe is about Blake Shelton.
It’s important to note though, that Lambert isn’t the only member of Pistol Annies to go through a divorce.
Rather, Angaleena Presley also went through a divorce, so technically “Got My Name Changed Back” could be about her divorce.
Maybe, but maybe not.
It also appears there’s more to this story.
According to Taste of Country, there’s another song on Interstate Gospel that dives deeper into a marriage that ended.
It’s called, “When I Was His Wife.”
Perhaps, the lyrics of the yet to be released song will offer more insight into Miranda and Blake’s marriage/divorce, or Presley’s prior marriage.
To be continued …
