Carrie Underwood Honored By U.S. Soccer Player
The U.S. Women’s national Soccer team all wore jerseys recently to honor powerful women that they admire and for player Julie Johnston Ertz, she wore “Underwood” on the back of her jersey honoring Carrie Underwood.
As Carrie shared on Instagram, she couldn’t be more thrilled. She wrote and posted today, “Thanks so much, @julieertz ! I’m so honored that an iconic woman and great role model like you put my name on her jersey! If country music singers wore jerseys, I would return the favor! #Repost @espnw ・・・Powerful women empower women”
Other women who were honored by the soccer team with names on player’s jerseys included actress Jennifer Lawrence, Astronaut Sally Ride and Tennis superstar Serena Williams.
