Chris Young To Fish For Cancer Research
Chris Young is getting back into a boat this summer to help cancer research with the announcement of “The 3rd Annual Th3 Legends Cast For a Cure Big Bass Tournament” just outside Nashville.
For Chris, the event benefits something close to his heart, “My dad fought cancer and won,” he shares. “I can’t think of any better way to give back to an organization that helps find cures for cancer than to spend the day sitting in a boat fishing with my old man.”
In 2015, Chris talked about his dad on stage and how they love to go fishing. He also mentioned that his father isn’t that impressed with his star status in Nashville and how his father was most impressed about Young touring with George Strait because of the country music icon’s love of tequila.
Registration for the “Chris Young Presents the 3rd Annual Th3 Legends Cast for A Cure Big Bass Tournament” is open at CastForACure.org.
Set for June 1st, the event will benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation, the music industry’s leading foundation to fund innovative cancer research.
