Brunch With Brian: Comfort & Floyd
Over the Labor Day Weekend, I decided to make a trip to South Philly for my latest brunch adventure.
Comfort & Floyd is a cozy breakfast & brunch place at the corner of 11th & Wharton with their awesome take on “home style comfort food.”
The comfortable cozy feeling expands to the decor which is friendly with a hip vibe. It’s also a little nostalgic with some vintage books and items thru out the restaurant.
As far as the food, I love their take on breakfast. One of the people that sat next to me said that the chicken and waffles are to die for.
As for me, I had to try their Smoked Kielbasa Omelet with chives, creme fraiche and saurkraut that’s made in house. I also had a buttermilk pancake with strawberries to wrap up my meal which definitely satisfied my sweet tooth.
So if you’re in South Philly and looking for a place to brunch with a friendly staff, get a little comfy, relax and check out Comfort & Floyd which is open everyday except Tuesdays 8am-3pm
