Work Zone Speed Cameras Are On The Pennsylvania Highways
If you’re driving too fast through a construction zone on the Pennsylvania highways, smile you’re on “PennDot Candid Camera.”
Brand new mobile speed cameras are being deployed throughout the state looking for drivers speeding through construction zones.
They’ll be a 60 pre-enforcement period ending on March 4th.
After that, if the cameras catch you speeding, you’ll get a warning letter on the first offense. a $75 fine for your second offense and for your third and all subsequent offenses, get ready to cough up $150.
The cameras are a joint effort program of PennDot, The Pennsylvania Turnpike and the Pennsylvania State Police in an effort to lower the accidents and fatalities in work zones
