Kenny Chesney’s Tour Bus Once Caught On Fire With Vince Vaughn and Brett Favre Onboard
Kenny Chesey recently appeared on Brett Favre’s podcast “Boiling With Favre” where he shared the story about his tour bus once catching on fire.
The Pro Football Hall of Famer is a big Kenny Chesney fan, as well as actor Vince Vaughn. The two came out to Chesney’s concert one year at Bayou County Superfest to support him. The event was held at Tiger Stadium at Louisiana State University.
They were all hanging out on Chesney’s tour bus before the show when they started to smell smoke.
“He was totally opposite of what he is in the movies, ” Favre said of Vaughn Wide Open Country reported. “He is laid back, loves country music and loves Kenny…We’re sitting on the bus and Kenny’s getting ready to go play in front of 85,000 people, and the damn bus catches on fire.”
“That’s a true story,” Chesney chimed in. “I say, Brett, do you smell smoke?’ He goes, ‘Yeah, I’ve been smelling smoke.'”
Favre then joked on the podcast that he thought Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson might have snuck onto the tour bus and gotten high, causing all of the smoke.
“I had to go on stage, and when I went on stage, they were trying to get as many of my personal belongings as they could off my bus,” Chesney recalled. “By the time I got offstage, I didn’t have a bus. It was crazy.”
Thankfully, no one was injured in the fire.
