He Likes Us. Phillies Alec Bohm Really Likes Us
Last night my son and I were lucky enough to watch the Phillies in action at Citizens Bank Park. While it a was a beautiful night for baseball, there was a tension lingering in the air as we got to the ballpark. The night before, third basemen Alec Bohm, who admittedly let his emotions get the best of him, was caught on camera muttering a not so nice sentiment about our city and it’s ballpark. Well, last night while walking up to the stadium the T-shirts already lined the street. Plain burgundy shirts bearing one simple sentence “I f****** hate this place.”
I thought, oh man – they are going to roast him tonight. Instead, when Bohm walked up to at bat he was met with a standing ovation. Because he apologized? I guess. Because he’s genuine? Maybe. One thing is for sure, Philadelphia never manages to disappoint. I don’t know about Bohm, but man….I f****** LOVE this place!
