What’s Cookin’ with Nicole: Bunny + Lamb Rice Krispie Treats!
My Nana made Rice Krispie treat bunnies for all the grand-kids and cousins since before I was born. She has a mold of a bunny and lamb, and after she passed, my Mom and my Auntie took it over. The mold has to be 70 years old!
There’s a strong chance you won’t have the same mold, but you can’t really go wrong with making Rice Krispie treats. Let’s be honest, all you have to know is the more marshmallows the better. Ha!
Rice Krispie Bunny + Lamb
1 package of marshmallows – 45 marshmallows – Save one to use for the tail.
1 package of mini marshmallows – I stirred these in towards the end so it looks like sheep’s fur!
5 1/2 Cups of Rice Krispies
5 tablespoons of butter
Small dash of vanilla
Small pinch of salt
Oil Spray or Better – to use to grease mold
2 Jelly beans – to use for eyes
Put marshmallows and butter in large bowl – melt on stove or microwave, stir in Rice Krispies
Grease mold
Press Rice Krispie mixture into mold – pack tightly
Let sit for 1-3 mins, then flip over and to remove from mold, set on parchment paper.
Cut marshmallow in half and place as tail.
Use jelly beans for the eyes.
