Escaped Prisoner In Pennsylvania
You’ve been following the story. Day 14 in the search for Danelo Cavalcante. The convicted killer escaped from the Chester County Jail on August 31st. For the first week or so he was hiding out in and around Longwood Gardens, but has since made his way to northern Chester County where police believe they have his perimeter surrounded.
What is startling is the fact that Cavalcante was armed. Pennsylvania authorities say Cavalcante walked into a garage and grabbed a .22-caliber rifle with a scope and a flashlight. The owner of the home was in the garage at the time and fired several shots at Cavalcante with a pistol as the escapee took off. There is no evidence suggesting he was hit, and he hasn’t been seen since. Tracks were found that matched the prison shoes he was wearing when he escaped, but a short time later the prison shoes were recovered, and another resident said a pair of work boots were stolen from her porch.
