Rhys Hoskins Free Agency Ends, New Team Announced
Rhys Hoskins free agency has been on everyone’s mind and at this point, where will he sign? All we know is that he will not be a Philadelphia Phillies player.
Rhys Hoskins Free Agency Updates
Since it was announced that Bryce Harper will remain at first base, it was then determined that Rhys Hosking would not be signed on for the club’s 2024 season and beyond.
If you recall, Rhys Hoskins suffered a season ending injury during Spring Training, you can see the video here but fair warning, it ain’t pretty to look at. He didn’t take the field once during the regular or postseason and then his contract was up.
Where Will Hoskins Go?
That’s the big question! He’s one of the biggest stars to hit free agency and arguably the best first basemen on the board when it comes to free agents. The first rumor circulating was that he would become a member of the Chicago Cubs.
But that didn’t end up happening. So where will he end up? Our only hope is that he will NOT be playing for a National League East team so that we don’t have to play him all the time. That’s the good news, it’s National League but not in the east, actually in the central division.
He will be signing for a two-year deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, last year’s National League Central Champions! It’s hard to see him go but it’s great to see him off on another adventure. Can only wish him the best.
